Call me scooter. No, it isn't my real name, but I like the idea of having a secret name. Most of the people who have professional advice columns don't use their real names, so I don't see why I should either. I want to give the best advice possible, and I figure that the first way of becoming professional is to act professional. That isn't to say that I plan on growing up to be an advice columnist. Actually, I want to be a psychologist. But, this is as close as I'm going to get to that right about now. I'm also a very good writer, so I figure writing an advice column is a good way of getting my ideas out there. Please feel free to ask me any questions you like.

I'm kind of in that time period where I am seeing who my real friends are. Look, here's the thing:
In 7th grade, my BEST FRIEND since elementary school backstabbed me by turning everyone against me and trying to steal my boyfriend of a year. Yes, I know we were in middle school. Well, she made me lose plenty of friends I had and my boyfriend who I broke up with, who she ended up dating for a week until he dumped her. In 8th grade, she didnt end up going to my school so it was really easy not to talk to her, and we didnt speak for a year. However, in the summer of 9th grade, I found out she got into the scholars acadamy like me and is going to my high school, and I knew we were going to have classes together. So, I was the bigger person and emailed her basically telling her I didnt want to start of the year with all this hatred that I was over with, and she emailed me back FINALLY apologizing and it seemed sincere. Well, we ended up having 5 out of 8 classes together and are becoming closer. Thing is, I just feel weird sometimes knowing what she did to me. Im best friends with my ex boyfriend who was the reason she did all that stuff to me in the first place, and now that shes at my high school, she became good friends with US. AND, she confessed to me that she still likes him. I honestly dont know what to think. Did she use me to get to him again? Will she do what she did to me all for him? ALSO
When it comes to group projects, she always wants to be my partner! I dont want to feel bound to her. I have other friends that I want to be with, and I'm sure if I told her she'd understand but may get offended. I just feel the only reason she wants to be with me, is to get closer to my ex, who I'm always with. I dont know what to think. :/

It's nice that the two of you have re-connected. I also don't think she's hanging around you just to steal your ex away from you. She is being honest with you about her feelings for him, so you should return the favour. Tell her you are worried that she will steal him from you again like she did before. Tell her you need your space. Just be honest and things will get much easier.
