okayy im going to a school function wher i know i will c my crush. im soo frazzled and i need help!! i have moderate acne that i am seriously embarressed bout. so i need some makeup that will cover my acne so you can barely see it. it would be totally great if it didnt have any pore clogging crap that will make my acne worse. it would be totally great. any suggestions???
Bare Minerals is great for coverage. For some people, their skin improves. You should try using some acne spot treatment every night or so. Try washing your face with some Dove soap and water. I had moderate acne too and that ^ improved my skin rather than using products. Don't try concealer. It seems to make your skin oily and clogs your pores. I'm sure there's some good brands out there but I haven't came across any yet.
Bare Minerals is somewhat expensive. It's about $30 for each foundation bottle. You should try the beginners kit because it comes with a CD explaining how to apply it. It's $70 for 2 foundations, a bronzer one, a very good blush, a concealer brush, a moisturizer & the CD.
You can buy any foundation and make it work for your skin. If you are conscious about your acne, don't touch it or anything to make it red. Just use a layer of foundation or two.. and buy some pressed on powder for extra coverage. You don't want so much makeup on your face because you probably know, it attracts more attention to your acne. But I'm sure your crush would see everything but your skin problems.
Sometimes you just need a tinted moisturizer. In my opinion, it's a great light foundation to cover up redness/acne. I use a cheap brand "Wet'N'Wild"
Try sponges or brushes to apply your makeup for better coverage. It makes a big difference rather than using your fingers.
