hey
this september, i'm going to be going into high school. i have a few questions. - you don't have to answer all of them; even if you can answer one, i'd be greatly appreciative.
1.) what's the FASTEST way to learn the map of my school? - besides getting a map & memorizing it
2.) how do i not become nervous the first few weeks when i'm getting accustomed? [like when i get lost, etc.]
3.) any tips on how to survive at least freshman year?

Okay......
1. you just have to keep going around and around the school... eventually it will stick in your mind and you should have no problem getting around. I was a freshman last year in a new school and i got so lost on the first day, but there were guides around the school, and by the time the week was over, I knew where everything was and no trouble getting around, so it just takes time, you will know it soon after you start.
2. Well... let's face it, you ARE going to get nervous, you can't stop that...... everyone is nervous going into a new high school, I definitely was.... but, when your getting used to the school, you meet friends and they help a whole lot. When i met my friends, my nervousness completely went away. Also when you get lost, just ask someone where it is you need to go, except i don't recommend asking a senior lol they can be pretty harsh. but don't worry, just don't act stuck up to them, and they'll leave you alone
3. Whew... Freshman year isn't bad.... at all. I was a incoming freshman last year.. i knew nothing about the school, knenw NO people and i turned out fine. What gets you through the year is friends. I don't know what i would have done if i didn't have them around during school. Another thing, is don't try to act all high and mighty, especially in front of seniors.... they will seriousy mess you up..... at least at my school they did. Just play it cool, meet somme friends and you will be FINE. Last year, i recall myself writing on advicenators asking how it is to be a frshman, and how i could survive.... and people gave me answers like ' OH IT'S GONNA BE FINE!!' etc. and i didn't believe them... but seriously IT WAS FINE!!! believe me, you will be fine, it is SO not as bad as some people make it sound to be
