i have a 2nd degree burn on my hand from touching a hot grill. there is a line of white blisters across my hand. ive had cold water on it for a few hours but the pain still will not stop unless i keep icy water on it.
does any know how i can realive the pain?
hey,
aww. first off, i hope you feel better soon-that happened to me... baking cookies, ha.
but i first have to tell you, if you plan on treating this at home, do NOT use icy water. it will be a strong contrast against the burn, and it will hurt badly. use water at about room temperature. this will help more. if it dosen't feel as good as icy water, it will still heal faster. take my word.
besides fixing it at home, though, i'd reccomend you call your family doctor, and ask him to perscribe you some creams or something. this will help alot.
my reccomendation also includes you go to the store and get some Aquaphore. they have it at most convenience stores, and it reallllly helps things like wounds/dry skin/ect. i'm sure it would help your burn!!
i hope i've helped, and i hope your hand feels better soon!!
xoxo
