It kind of sounds like your talking about a girl crush. That's when a girl is attracted to another girl because of these reasons:

She thinks she is pretty.
She thinks she will make a great friend.
She thinks of her as a mother figure.
She thinks she is just plain awsome.

Basicly she admires her in some way.
