Can your metabolism change? Like if you have a slow metabolism over time can it change into a fast metabolism?

Same with fast metabolisms. If you have a fast metabolism can it change into a slower metabolism?

fast metabolims usually do slow which is why people usually gain weight, if they had a fast one when they were young and then it slowed with time but they kept eating the way they did.
slow metabolisms i heard can get faster with hot sauce? im not sure if thats true though. so i wouldnt know that anwser.
