okay, so i'm 15/f and my bf is 17.

we seriously are really close and hit it off right away and we're aren't like the normal 'oh i love you couples' that break up and then move on. me and him are each other's first and we really feel like we can last. we almost never argue and we have a lot of fun. and we have a lot of support from our friends. and we've only been together for four months...

but he told me something about a promise ring and i do want one...but do you think it's too young? i mean we are waiting till our 20's to get engaged and married and it sounds a little far fetched, but we really feel like we are that close...

but are we too young? and is that what a promise ring always means? and what finger would i wear it on?

i need and answer soon. thanks in advance. =]

I would never doubt your feelings for eachother, but yes it is a little too soon to be making promises. I guess I've just never understood the purpose of a promise ring. In my eyes, you're either engaged or not. & you should not promise a lifetime together until he gets on his knee & officially proposes to you. Many things can, of course, change between now & 5 years so it's too fast for any type of promise - especially after dating for four months. If you are still dating till you're in your 20s, then great! But don't make any big commitments right now. You're still young & have so much time ahead of you. You'll only be even more disappointed in the end if things don't work out.
