How are you supposed to know who's the one for you for a life time? My parents keep telling me that there is no such thing as true love. Is that true? (link)

Well, love if diffrent for everybody. Maybe your parents have had some ruff times with love. Maybe they just feel that because they havn't experienced it that they dont think its real. It also depends on what you mean by "true love". Love comes in so many diffrent "true" forms. Romantic love, compasionate love, friendship love. The truth is, nobody can show you true love but yourself. Getting down to your question. If you feel so strongly about a person, if you cant stand to be away from them. If when your away from them your thinking of them, you want them in every way possible (not just sexual) then prehaps that person is for you. Only YOU can know who is right for you, maybe your parents dont want you to think that there is no love because they want you to not get hurt. Overall, its up to you to know if somebody is right for you, and its up to you to think that there is true love.
