I have given up entirely on acne medicines, pills, you know the list.
I dont have much at all, it's just that it's persistant, and i mean P-E-R-S-I-S-T-A-N-T. any thing, proactive, benza-clin, tazorac, even along with a long line of antibiotics does not help at all, and im talkin after 2 months use. And my face just laughs at prescription stuff.
So lately (during summer) i've been using 40% rubbing alcohol almost every 3 hours on my face. and i've had positive results.
1. Do you have any idea of any long term effects of this use, like wrinkles (i am a guy, but who wants wrinkles?)
2. Why is my face so sensitive to the sun after i use rubbing alcohol.
rubbing alcohol will make you sensitive to the sunlight just because of the chemical properties of it. it does something to the chemical make up of your skin to raise your susceptibility to UV rays.
I've got some advice that probably sounds crazy but Its worked before. Try washing your face with just soap and water.. I'm not being sarcastic. soap dries out your skin without that sensitivity to sunlight. (then use the rubbing alcohol at night or when you wont be outside)
I've also had a problem with this. Proactive was a joke for my face. but Clearasil worked for me, give it a try if you haven't already.
You can also talk to a dermatologist about small diet changes.
(Rating: 5) thank you.
