Q: In a couple of days I am going to Dominica, an island in the west indies for a month to do community service with a group of other high schoolers.
Apparently at night it is in the 80's and I am very worried about having trouble going to sleep, because sleeping in hot weather is so hard. all i'm going to have is a sheet, but does anyone have ideas on what i could bring or do at night so I won't be so hot?? I'm extremely worried that I will never be able to get to sleep!
bring a battery operated fan. Also, bring like washcloths. at night put water on them so that they are soaked and lay them on your head and stomach. This is what I do. It keeps you very cool. Also, like stiff cardboard or somthing so you can fan yourself, as well as maybe instant ice paks or gel cool paks that you dont have to freeze. thanks for your community service! good luck

thanks, i will definitely do that, you are so helpful!
