i was wondering something I heard about. I got some spermicide condoms with nonoxynol-9 and I was wondering if they often irritate women? I just want to make sure my girlfriend is comfortable during and after sex. What do you guys think? Should i go get diffrent ones?

Condoms with spermicide are no more effective at preventing the passage of an STI than condoms without spermicide. Here's the deal: N9 (a detergent) causes irritation to the lining of the vagina increasing the chances that there will be the transfer of an STI, including HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. N9 also causes urinary tract infections (which are very painful for women).
