i think i want extensions.

those righ tnow, and i don't want to.

but how do you get that style
like ... "emo" gah
people tell me i'm emo.
i mean i have some pink and purple
in my hair
but anyway

i want it like messy and
completely beautiful at the same time

any tips?? (link)
Your hair colour doesn't matter, so I wouldn't stress about that if I were you. Lauren Steil has totally lustworthy scenequeen hair, and she's a blonde.

I wouldn't advise you to get extensions. They cost a lot of money, and seem like they'd be a pain to take care of.

As far as the cut goes, tell your stylist that you'd like long sidebangs and a lot of short, messy layers. With my hair, my longest layer is a tiny bit past my shoulders, and the shortest layer in back would fall about a half inch under my ears. You could even print that picture out and tell her you like the way the girls fringe & the top part of her hair looks. A good stylist should be able to compromise and give you a shorter version of the same thing.

I'd suggest getting yourself some root volumizer and some water-based styling pomade. Both of those products work really well to give you the just-got-out-of-bed "emo" look. You can backcomb the roots of your hair as well, to give it more of a messy volumized look. Some de-frizz spray would be a good idea as well, so that your "messy" look will still look pretty and not frizzy.
