i have this best friend, who is a guy and i really like him. but i keep trying to forget him because he doesnt like me in that kind of way. the problem is that he makes it seem like he does so much and my friend kate tells me she thinks he does based on how he acts. i wish he wouldnt confuse me so much because he led me on in this way twice already and he never really liked me.
the other day i saw him and he said he had made me a bracelet out of staples because he got bored. then i left early that day so he and kate were talking and he said out of nowhere..."does sam like me?" and then kate said "why do you ask? do you like her?" and he said "no." so then kate said "she doesnt like you either." and that was the end of that. but then yesterday he and i were on the phone and i couldnt really hear what he ws saying. my phone is crappy. i thought i heard him say "i like you." but then i said "no you dont. you hate me." [i was just playing around though cuz i always say i hate him haha]
but the thing is i dont want to believe he likes me. and i dont want to ask him if he does. he told me he didnt like me 3 weeks ago and why would he like me now? i can handle being best friends because i love him a lot [not in love with him just love him] but how do i know how he feels? even when all the signs are there he doesnt like me because hes done the same exact thing 2 times and its not like he means to. thank you so much!

That does seem a bit complicated. The best I can say, since I can't even seem to tell if he likes you, is to wait it out. If he asks you out then he likes you, lol. Tell him no if you don't want to go out with him.
