I can't put up with people my own age. I'm fourteen and I just.. Can't. People around my age frustrate me. I can't even date people around my age! It's ridiculous. My father said it's because I've been brought up in a family where my siblings are MUCH older then me. I'm talking about 6-20 years older in range. Apparently I'm quite mature for my age. Is there any way that possibly I could maybe be able to tolerate people my own age? All my friends are 16-19. (link)

Wow, I am the same exact way as you. I'm 19... And I cannot stand the people around me. I've lost a bunch of friends because of it too. I can't deal with their pathetic teenage drama.
Anyway, I believe in giving everyone a chance, so that's what I do. I'm usualy quick to judge people around my age or younger the second I see them ( I try not to though) But I always give them a chance. If after talking to them for a while, you already feel annoyed by them, then i say just walk away and end it there. There is a big chance that they turn out to be that moron you predicted.
It's sad to say, but yes, mostly everyone is the same.
Also, go out and meet older people. Somewhere. That's what I did last summer and now most of my friends are from 25-45 years old.
It feels good to be around an older crowd and since you are mature you will learn a lot from them, rather than think "ohhh gawd they dont kno nothing, they be so old", you know how kids talk nowadays... hahaha
