My gynecologist said that I have high blood pressure. I think that the only reason that when they take my blood pressure it's high is because I'm nervous. Anytime I go to a doctor, I get nervous, and I can tell that my blood pressure is up (I can feel that my heart is pumping faster). Anywho, how can I calm down whenever they take my blood pressure so they can get an accurate reading?
I know what you are saying. In the past they have told me to relax and think of happy things..pretty clouds..lol it sounds pathetic but it works if you seriously immagine this calm stuff. A good idea is to take your own blood pressure at home and i bet it will be normal. If you have a friend or family member that is a nurse..they can supply you with what you need.
