Okay, my boyfriend of 18 months graduates high school in May. I was thinking about just giving him $100. Good idea? Should I even give him a graduation present? If so, what?

Ok, this is just my opinion, but do not by any means give your boy friend money for a graduation present. Seriously, thats the least thoughtful gift ever for a significant other.
100 dollars is a good amount of money to spend on a present. What is he into? Music or sports, something like that? If there's a particular person he likes - like a sports star or something - 100 dollars should be more than enough to get him a hat or something from Ebay signed by that person. That is something he will think is special, thoughtfull, will keep for a long time, and probably wouldnt buy for himself.
