I'm planning on buying something to record video onto a VHS tape. I don't know anything about video technology. Do you have to buy a video camera that you but a VHS tape in? If you have a camcorder and record video onto an 8mm tape, is there an inexpensive, easy way to put it onto a VHS? (link)

You can buy a camcorder that records directly to vhs, but if you get digital, then you can recor it through a VCR.
That or you can just go completely digital and burn it to DVD through your computer with a digital camcorder.
Up to you, but those are the main options.
