hi everyone im katelyn. I love giving advice and taking some too! im a very open person and a very nice person. Well i think im a very nice person but thats up to u to decide wat i am. I think i am a very loving, caring, and honest person. I have my bad days but who doesnt?!?!? I am very trusting and u can tell me anything. I will try to help anyone i can and anyway i can.

Well I am 23 and got engaged when I was 17. My mom has been very supportive of this and happy for the two of us. Then my Dad isnt very happy he hasn't talked to me since I told him I was engaged. I know I have never been close to him but it has been really bugging me since I am to be getting married in May. I know that he is not going to be the one to walk me down the isle I told him that along time ago that it would be my brother that is going to. But what I am trying to see is should I get married without my dads approval?

i think that you should get married and if your dad really loves you he will be there for your big day!
Im sure he will be there and now your 23 so i dont think thats a bad age to be getting married. he should be happy for you because your happy. he might not walk you down the isle but im sure he will come around and be there. You never know he might come around and end up getting there and he might walk you down the isle. I dont think he would miss his little girl's wedding. Im sur he wont be happy but i know he will get over it so dont worry bout it and talk to him. Try to see if he will walk you down and tell him that your happy and he should be happy for you like everyone else is. he should be happy your with teh same guy i mean i think i would be happy for my daughter to be with one guy all her life so i wouldnt worry about some other guy. Does your dad like him?? Has your dad known him for awhile? if he has then i dont see the problem. soooo if you want to get married GET MARRIED!! BE HAPPY !!!!!

(Rating: 5) Thanks, I think part of it is my parents got divorced when I was 4 and he moved out of state I would see him maybe three times a year then I got mad at him when i got older after I understood the word of abuse to the family. Also I got pregnant with my fiancee when I was 17 and we knew we were going to get married so we decided to get engaged. But he knows him because his dad and my dad have been friends for a long time.
