ok..so i am afraid ever since i was little my mom always told me never to have a boyfriend becase they always only want sex. so i grew up(im 15 by the way) hating guys. so i really liked this guy and we went out and i was always afraid to tell him how i felt i was afraid of letting him hug me i dont know why i feel like i look stupid kissing him. or hugging him. and when i would kiss him i would always feel uncomfterable and never want to do it. i never told him how much i liked him. my mom just keeps telling me all these negative things about guys, she also told me that guys just want to have sex and that god will be mad with me if i have a boyfriend so i dont want God to be mad at me! what do i do? help please! Oh honey having a boyfriend isn't a bad thing at all. It's a shame you grew up hating boys because not all of them are after sex!
You mum is obviously trying to keep you from having a boyfriend because sometimes, unfortunately every girl does get hurt!
What you need to do now is think for yourself, if you want a boyfriend then you have a boyfriend! You are old enough to think of what the consequences could be and to say no when you feel like you should say no!
Having a boyfriend could be the most wonderful thing in the world, just because you have a boyfriend does not mean you have to have sex!
Take me for an example, I am 18 nearly 19 and my boyfriend is 20 nearly 21. We were together for nearly a year before we had sex and we were both virgins!
Everyone does things in their own time hun so you need to figure out if you are ready to start dating for yourself.. don't let your mum rule your life because you need to make mistakes yourself to learn from them! You can't learn from other people's mistakes!
Then you need to talk to your mum about it.. you need to tell her that you are ready to have a boyfriend and you will find one in your own time and bring him home to meet her!
