I hope you choose another place other than Guatamala for your 16th birthday. It's no place for 16 year olds to be running around. If you must go you should bring many adults and stay in groups and never leave anyone alone. The crime rate is high there. Perhaps you should consider the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Florida, or the Florida Keys, Hawaii, Hollywood, California. The possibilities are endless. Hope you have a fun, happy yet safe birthday. For my 16th birthday my dad gave me a remote control car. Was I ever disappointed.
Can you afford to go to Paris? I know the Euro is more valueable than the American dollar. A $1.35 American will get you $1 Euro.

I live in Florida now, so the keys and the bahamas are kind of similar to home.
