advice
any advice on how to get a split, fast?
i need one by april.
and a toe touch, i need that by april too.
does any of you know how to make one quickly? stretches for it. PLEASE know what you're saying when you answer, it'd sure help.
alright for splits, i'd pretty much say what the other 2 told you. just stretch every night and blah blah blah. it does work.
but make sure that for toe touches, when your stretching your middle splits, TURN OUT YOUR LEGS. hopefully you know what this term means. instead of simply sitting in the middle straddle, turn your feet out so that you feel a deeper stretch throughout your legs. itll be harder to stretch but it is essential for your toe touches. i learned this the hard way. i had my middle splits alll the way down and had the worst toe touches. i learned that it was because i had a really bad turn out.
another GREAT way to work on a better turn out is to sit with your legs apart,turned out, but not nearly as far apart as they go. place your hands tightly around one leg, palms down. one hand on each side so that you are turned slightly on an angle. (this is done one leg at a time). now lift your leg without moving any other part of your body. its going to be hard the first time you try it. do around 10 reps and as you get better, move your legs out further and further.
lastly, it's important to have strong quads in order to have a good toe touch, so do quad stretches such as squats. these give amazing results!
