what do i do if the child im watching is being very bad and decides to get her head stuck in the stair rails

I would love to tell you yes, especially since I've been in that situation, but you can't... help the kid out of the railing then give the child a severe time out and say you are going to speak to his/her parents. If you do feel like you could do something horrible to this child though, maybe you should quit... it's not safe for either of you.
