Q: I have a question about what to wear with skirts. I am very new to this. I haven't worn a skirt by choice before. I was thinkin of wearing one to school for the first time, because my boyfriend has only seen me in pants since we have been dating haha (11 months) and i have decided to wear a skirt for him. My question now is what kind've shoes would you wear, like i find it weird to wear boots with a skirt or running shoes with a skirt, could ya help me out? Also any other advice for wearing skirts. Wow, im very embarassed... haha

it really depends on what type of skirt your going to wear. skirts are about accentuating the legs.
ive provided some do's,donts,and the ones you need to be careful with.
DO WEAR:
-flats *i recommend flats with leggings &a skirt
-heels
-platform shoes
-flip flops [depends on where you live]
-uggs
-wedge sandals
-kitten heals [usually a rather delicate style of shoe, so they can work very well with short skirts. Thongs, slides, and strappy sandals with a small, low heel help accentuate the "leggy" look you hope for with a mini skirt.]
BE CAREFUL WITH;
-ankle boots - they make womens legs look bulky
-stiletto heels - might be too sexy with a mini
-High Heeled Pumps - the shoes are a little heavy looking
DONT WEAR;
-Oxfords
-Bulky Shoes
-Cross-Trainers
-Clogs
-Socks
as for the whole skirt part choose one that your comfortable in. it sucks when you have to go a day of school in something really uncomfortable. try walking in the outfit the night before to get used to it. be careful not to fall and have fun!
