I know i have already talked on here about how my step mom picked out clothes for me at church. She won't let me where what i want to and she makes me where her grandmothers clothes. I already told her i didnt like it and she said that was the style and i should get used to it. Everytime i get excited about something, i always remember that i have to wear her grandma's clothes that i dont like and it makes me unhappy. I get really excited about something and then i think of that and it makes me sad. I know they are just clothes but 70% of your clothes is confidence and if you don't have that, you have 30% of something. I heard it on the radio, but anyways, any help would be greatly appriciated. thanks so much! (link)

ok, your step-mom picks out your chlothes, but it isn't that bad! maybe try to spice up the chlothes she picks.
like, wear accesories that you like to make certain peices look better.
maybe just ask her if you can go shopping together and make a decision together on what you can wear.
maybe tell her what you're interested in wearing.
or make a deal with her.
like say she tells you to wear a certain skirt, ask her if you can wear a shirt that you chose with the skirt.
start out with little things and gradually make your way up to picking out your own outfit!
whatever you do, DONT GO BEHIND HER BACK!
knowing moms (or step-moms) she will find out.
and that will lessen the trust and then you will have less of a chance of wearing what you want in the future.
have patience with her.
tell her that you'd like to wear something different for a change, because you would feel more comfortable with it.
if none of this works, and youre still wearing the chlothes shes making you wear.
MAKE THE BEST OF IT!
if you are confident, it will make you look better.
hold your head up high, and smile.
this will make you more attractive, even if youre wearing grandma chlothes :]
