Q: I'm 16 years old.

I'm taking accutane, and about a week after I started taking it, I started to have rectal bleeding when I go to the bathroom. It isn't very bloody at all. When I wipe, there's just a little pink stuff that is obviously blood (again, there's not much at all. and it isn't like I leak blood).

Anyways, my dermatologist didn't mention rectal bleeding when putting me on accutane, but on online forums, people have noticed the same thing. Should I be concerned? Is rectal bleeding serious, or is it normal every once in a while due to medication?

[I'm afraid that it might become permanent]
I am on the same medication but i have not had that happened to me. There are like many pages of side effects that could happen on accutane and rectal bleeding is probably one of them. I would wait untill your blood test and your dermatologist appointment. Tell him and if there is something wrong with you, it will probably show up on the blood test.

okay. thank you.

I absolutely love giving advice on advicenators. When people ask for my advice in real life, its probably not as good as my responces on advicenators because advicenators gets me thinking. I love helping people and I try to give the best advice I can.
