advice

what would you do if you were doing pet related tasks for a neighbor and they promised to pay you but after 5 months of hardwork they still didn't pay you or even mention? would you ask them for the money and how would you do it? or would you just quit?

I would definitely mention it. The best way to do it is to be polite and to the point: "Excuse me, Mr./Mrs. ____, but could I please get some information on my payments for taking care of your dog/cat/etc.?" They may apologize and promise to give you the money, but if they beat around the bush or make an excuse not to give you any money, tell them right out that you cannot take care of their animal anymore if they do not pay you for it. As long as you are polite and (semi)understanding, you should be fine. Good luck =)
