16/f Okay so here's my problem. I have never had a real boyfriend. I have had flings and mini boyfriends, but not a REAL one. I don't know what the problem is. Not being cocky at all, but I'm not bad looking, I have tons of friends, I'm outgoing and talk to everyone. People (guys and girls) always tell me they don't understand why I don't have a boyfriend. It just never happens. I know It will happen when Its meant to, but I just get really lonely, and tired of waiting. What should I do? I do have one guy in mind. We've been flirting back and forth for 2 years, and my friends swear we should like get married, but nothing ever happens. I just don't know what's wrong with me or what to do??? (link)
There's nothing wrong with YOU, at all. There's nothing wrong with any girl that finds she's not getting a boyfriend. It's just all the matter of time and place and what the guys into, or what type of guy you're into.

You and certain guys personailities just might not mesh well together boyfriend and girlfriend wise, but they do friend-wise. Some guys just might find you more hang out buddy then an actual relationship which isn't a necessiarly bad thing, that's a good thing that you can be near so many guys. Also, this'd give you a good chance TO find that boyfriend. Try meeting your guy friends friends and start talking to them and get to know them better and find common interests. And don't forget to flirt and everything so they don't get the vibes that you just want to be friends. :D

It also just may be intimidation. I know every girls mother says this to them, but it could be true, in your case. You even said you're very outgoing and you're not bad looking at all and you love talking to people and getting to know everyone and everything. That may come off intimidating to guys, because they may feel you're already taken, or that you're too good for them, and that you might not want to go out with them, let alone talk to them. So try and start more conversations with guys to show them you don't mind talking to them, ( and like I said, flirt! ) and that you're interested.

Whenever you talk to them, maybe even bring up relationships at some point during the conversation. Share past experiences and share laughs if anythings happened to you guys on dates that were funny to get a chuckle or two, and then just talk to them and let them know that you want a serious relationship. I mean, of course don't make it sound like "I WANT A SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU", but just be like,"Yeah, I've had alot of flings and stuff you know, which are fine with me, but I've never had a real boyfriend before, so it'd be nice to have one for once sometime. I just gotta find someone." And keep one talking about whatever. This'll show him that you're avaiable and willing to meet someone, which might give him more courage to make himself known to you.

So just get yourself out there more and talk to lots of guys. Meet your guy friends friends, your girl friends guy friends and just show them what a great girlfriend you'd be if they were to go out with you. I know it's tiring to sit there and wait all the time, but he will come, trust me. I've been waiting for a year for a boyfriend, but I know he'll come sometime. Meanwhile, I'm just enjoying all my friends and life right now without one. :]

I hope I helped.
