Q: I kind of cheated on my bf with my ex. I told him about it and everything..we're kind of okay right now but he wants me to write an essay about it. He wants to know how it happened, why it happened, what exactly happened, etc. I don't know how to write this stupid thing for him..does anyone have any help for me?

He's probably very, very angry, and doesn't want to hear you say exactly what happened. Psychologically, it's easier to be more open and more receptive of things when reading and writing them than it is to do so in person.
Don't think of it as an essay. Think of it as a chance to tell him every reason why you still want to be with him. If he means something to you this is the perfect chance to let him know why.
