My hard drive got erased for the third time (yuck) and every time, I wasn't able to deauthorize my computer (to play purchased music) Also, my friend's computer is authorized, whcih stinks cause I don't talk to her anymore.
Is there a way to deauthorize my "other" computers (say, from before the hard drive got erased) or can I just make a new account (with the same credit card number?)

To deauthorize all computers associated with your account:
1.Click iTunes Store in the Source pane.
2.If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
3.Click the Account button again (your ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
4.In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.
Just so you know you can only do this every 12 months or when u have 5 computers authorized. If your hard drive is still down and you cant get on itunes go to a friends and just log in on your user and pw and do it. Hope this helps.
