First off dont judge me or say anything rude because i hate talking about this to (anyone). And this may be a little long.

I have this disease Alopecia. Its where you lose your hair. Im not losing it right now but i have a few bald spots. And no its not any form of cancer and its not life threatning so i cannot die from it.

But every day i wear my hair up in a messy bun. Its getting kind of old really. Once in a while ill wear my hair down and put a little bit up. But once i get to school or work i put it up because i either get really hot. Or i just dont feel comforatable wearing it down because i hate when people question me about it.

The other day decided i want to have side bangs. I kind of had some but the bangs werent all the same leangth so i cut them the same length and it doesnt look right. i tried pinning them back but they wont stay.

Is there any cute hair styles i can wear with either my hair up or half down and half up? How can i make these side bangs look right?
---Also im 17 and i have had Alopecia for 9 years. So dont tell me to go to doctor and make sure its really Alopecia. ive have taken meds for it and nothing works.

thank you

also if you need a picture ill send you one just leave your Screenname in the answer.

Hey! Im kinda nervous about this...its my first answer. But I do have some ideas for hairstyle that might help.

For the side bangs: Have you tried blow drying them? My friend got side bangs and they looked awful and she hated them, but then she started bkow drying them, and they look great!

You could try pulling your ahirback into a half ponytail (start by gathering your hair like a regualar pony, but then drop the bottom half) and you could also do a half ponytail with either a messy bun in back or a neat one.

I dont know where you bald spots are, and if this would cover them up, but you could do the hairsyle where you take a section of hair from the very front in the middle (1 or two inches wide and not very thick) brush it up war (to smooth it) and pin it back.

Finally, you could try doing a ponytail instead of a bun, or mixing it up by doing a neater bun or adding chopsticks.

Hope this helps, and good luck!
