15/f. A couple of questions about birth control pills:
- Which ones work the best?
- Which have the least side effects? I would like to avoid gaining weight if possible.
- About how much does it cost?
- Is a prescription required?
- If it is, is my doctor required to keep it a secret or can he tell my parents? (If he can, he probably will.) (link)

Your doctor is legally required to keep it confidential. You do need an RX for the Pill, but it is over 99% effective and very few side effects.
