I have had this friend for 6 yrs. She told me that she had started smoking and asked me to also. What should I do to help my friend

No I did not start smoking.

If you havent already, tell her some of the things that smoking does to her. Tell her that it doesnt make her look cool. Ask her why she started. If she says something like "well all my firneds are" then just tell her that those kind of friends arent the kind of people she needs to be hanging out with. I know it might be hard but if her parents dont know, you should tell them. There is going to be something that they can do. There are programs to help her quit if you can convince her too. Whatever you do dont start smoking!
