I am possibly thinking about going on an airplane in the near future and would like your advice/opinions about Airplanes. I would like to know who has been on one, How do you like flying, What do you love about Flying, what do you hate about flying and what advice you would give to me if I were to fly. Feel free to answer my question and really good advice in great detail will get a 5.
First of all it is important that you understand that rumors about airplanes being unsafe are completely untrue, especially since 9/11. you have absolutely nothing to worry about with fellow passangers i travel often and the security is unbelievable. And you might go through some turbulance, it is scary because the plane shakes a bit but you must trust me that it is normal and the pilots are trained to drive in such conditions. So do not think bad thoughts while aboarding, or on the plane because they are unbelievably safe. safer then a car, boat, or train according to statistics in the New York Times.
Now i just felt that was necessary to add because when i first started using planes as transportation i was a bit nervous about these issues. now for the ups and downs of airplanes.
Ups.
- Airplanes are extremely safe and a comfortable way to travel.
- I wouldn't be the only one to say i love airplane food. ahaha it really is good.
- with a good book, music, or a movie they play for your entertainment you are completely relaxed and do not get motion sickness like you would in a car.
- the pillows and chairs were made to be the as comfortable as possible, and they are!
- looking out the window is always more interesting when your looking down on everything.
- the airports have tons of stores you can go eat at or shopping at while waiting at the airport, they have everything!
downs.
- Since the security is so thurough, it takes a very long time of waiting and carrying around your luggage, in fact i would suggest leaving for the airport 3 hours before aboarding your plane.
- sometimes the airport will lose your luggage, it happens. But it will be returned to you within a couple days.
- The toilets tend to suck the water down really quickly and loud, so don't be scared.
- sometimes you have to share the plane with, well, annoying people.
- If you are easily scared, the turbulence might bother you a little bit.
- YOUR EARS WILL POP. SO BRING GUM TO CHEW ON.
have fun on your ride and wherever you are going. good luck =]
