I'm 5'4 and about 145-160 lbs. Verrry fat in my opinion but i don't really look THAT bad other than that. I was wondering if it's possible to lose about 25 lbs by August 19th or around there? If so, how. Please be specific on good && bad foods && excersizes (how many, how long, etc.) Also, does anybody know any REALLY good acne creams? Thank you soo much (link)
Some advice on acne, stay away from any greasy foods (pizza, chips, etc.) and wash your face every morning and night. (even more if possible) If you like fish (especially salmon) that type of food is amazing for your complexion. Also make sure whatever makeup (if you wear a lot of makeup) you use is hypoalergenic as wearing anything that your alergic to (even slightly alergic)or that just irritates you skin can double the amount of blemishes that "pop up" weekly. Also, make sure you always avoid sleeping with makeup on!
As for weight loss tips, i have a few from past experience struggling with my own weight (i'm 5'7 and weigh 148") Make sure not to go on any crazy diets (like eating peanut buter sandwiches for a month!) Stick to what you know will work, the two basics. Eating healthy and excercising regularly. Start out slow, don't decide to eliminate all bad food and become a fitness freak. Remember to loose weight and keep it off you have to make a lifestyle change. Focus on being healthy and not on being "skinny" or you'll just make yourself miserable. Also remember loosing weight doesn't happen overnight. Expect to loose 2-4 lbs. the first week your "dieting" and expect weight loss to slow down after that. Don't weigh yourself obsessivly or stand in front of the mirror staring at yourself either! You can weigh yourself once every two weeks, record your weight, and i promise you'll see progress if you stick to your diet and excercise.
Dieting: Watch you calorie intake your meals should even out to about 325-425 calories, and you should have one or two HEALTHY snacks a day (Fruit, a nutrigrain bar, yogurt, etc.) If your really watching your calories try to even out at around 1,500 a day. Remember to eat lots of vegatbles, and not a lot of bread. Look for things that are fat free or low fat. Drink skim milk or two percent instead of whole. Eat wheat bread instead of white. Put extra lettuce on a hamburger (not one that you got from mcdonalds, you'll definatly want to avoid fastfood, like it's poison. Did you know that in one fast food sticky bun there are 2,000 calories! That's astronomical! You actually have to plan out how to get that much fat into such a small pastry!) Read articles on websites from the south beach diet or weight watchers. (weight watchers is an excellent diet that keeps you healthy and gives you a set plan and point system, i recomend checking it out if you aren't disciplined enough to diet on your own.) Find out recipes that are healthy and easy, o yeah and avoid anything fried! (By the way sushi is great for you and almost no fat at all. and celery actually burns calories, put some peanut butter on celery or on an apple, that makes a great snack. Remember to never stop drinking water, at least six cups a day! When your body doesn't get enough water it starts to retain water... making you feel bloated and swolen. Drinking a lot of water can keep you 2-4 pounds slimmer than if you stay in a semi-dehydrated state constantly. And you need to eat to loose weight the healthy way, if you stop eating your metabolism slows down. Also make sure to eat breakfast, even if it's something small, it is especially inmportant to get you metabolism going in the morning. You loose less weight if you don't eat breakfast. Also, set up a "break" day once a week were you can treat yourself to all the yummies you missed out on! (Please, don't go crazy though, it is quite possible to do a whole lot of damage in one day. Don't make every meal an enormous binge on fattening foods. Eat a healthy breakfast, then because it's your break day you can eat 5-6 bagel bites with lunch... a nutra-grain bar for a snack, a chicken salad for dinner, and maybe a piece of cake after dinner. NOT 20 bagel bites, and 4 pieces of cake!) But be careful not to add on "one more day" to your little weekly delights. Lastly, avoid sitting infront of the T.V. and eating, people don't realize how much they munch while sitting like mindless zombies in front of the bright, shiny box. And if you absolutly have to munch on something don't take a whole box of cheezeits and proceed to consume them all! Poor some in a cup, eat those, asses if your still hungry or just bored. If your just bored go find something to do other than eating, staring at a wall can be more enticing than gaining weight sometimes. If you are still hungry by all means continue munchin UNTIL your full (and not stuffed to the point of wretching, just comfortable, and not feeling like you'd die if you didn't eat!) Don't eat just to eat, only when your hungry!
Excercise:
Excercise is and asset! Join a gym if possible, then you can get on a treadmill and see exactly how many calories you burn. Don't exercise maniacally every day. You will burn up all your will to be healthy! (unless of course you happen to be one of those people who has to run 10 miles every day or they lock themselves up and cry hysterically, it's best to avoid such frowned upon crying experiences.) Pick 3 days atleast, and go jogging. Train yourself to go further and further each time. The more calories you burn off the easier it will be to loose weight. I'm a bit lax myself on the excercise area (i'm ahamed to say" but i'm working on it!) For more extensive information on exercise try calling a gym or visiting just once to get some tips from those avid exercisers! For me running is the most effective weight loss mechanism, it is actually fun (sometimes) to! Especially if you have music to run to! Give it a try, find your niche. And if you just can bring yourself to exercise, any progress is good right?
I hope this helps!
