whenever i'm meeting someone i don't know, i have the hardest time keeping a conversation! i'm really outgoing and friendly, but most of the time i just don't know what to talk about and we end up standing there in this awkward silence. any tips / suggestions?? thanks!!

Start talking about something you're intereseted in, or something that you have an opinion about and ask their opinion. For example, I really like animals, so I'd start talking about my pets and if they had any pets, etc. See, if you start talking about something you have an opinion about, or like, then you'll have a lot to say, that will automatically come to mind so you don't have to really think to hard.
