When it comes to listening, I'm the worst. If I don't want to hear what you're saying, or even if I do but I'm bored, I will tune you out. Not on purpose either (well it might be on purpose but I'm not aware of it). I won't even realize that I'm tuning you out until you're done talking.
There have been many times where my friends tell me stories for like 15 min. and when they're done I ask, "Wait...what did you just say?" You can imagine how offended and upset people get.
I need help. If I try to pay attention to something I don't want to pay attention to, I'll concentrate on trying to pay attention and why I should pay attention so then I'm not paying attention to what you're saying I'm concentrating on why I should. That's confusing. Any help?

well i do the same thing and my reason is that i have way to much on my mind and im trying to absorb to much information in one day. i also am always busy and multitasking so i never have the patience to take the time to listen until im on here at night when the kid is asleep and my mind is relaxed themn i wanna listen to everything people wanna spill . strange huh . wish i could help but know you arent alone in this.
