I just moved into a new house and my room is light pink and green. I am not into that at all, not one bit. But my parents won't let me paint over it. I'm not gothic; but my favourite color is black, i wear black all the time, i'm into heavy metal, my favorite band is Lamb of God and Insane Clown Posse. I like stars and hearts. I would probably be more into the colours if they were alot darker, but i can't paint! I asked if i could get a black stripe near the top but our painters' hand isnt steady enough, but I can paint some black into it, but where? Not the whole thing so what can i do? What can i do that will make my room alot less girly and young? Please help! I hate these light baby colors!
get some stencils of stars/hearts etc.
or use black furniture and perhaps see if you can persuade your parents to let you paint you skirting boards/runners black to break down the girliness.
