[16/f] so here's the deal. i have a guy friend turned best friend. we've been friends for just less than a year and we've had our share of ups and downs. in the past 2 months, we've become really close. we used to go to the same school but not anymore but despite th distance we've managed to get closer. i go see him at least once a week now and he calls me everyday to tell me "i love you." he writes me letters, draws me pictures, takes me out to movies, and cuddles with me. lately he's been jokingly saying that he's my boyfriend and whatnot and i guess it got me thinking that there might be a possibility that he might like me. i used to like him LONG time ago but not anymore. all my friends, my family and EVEN his family says he likes me but i just can't bring myself to believe them. and just yesterday he asked me if he could spend new years with me instead of being with his family. i guess i'm just looking for a second and non biased opinion from someone else to tell me if it seems like this guy seems to like me. and if you think he does, should i confront him and ask him if he does? how do i avoid having him fall for me? should bestfriends ever turn into something more? i'm not ready for a relationship and i'm not looking to be with anyone for a long time coming. thanks for any help =)

I think he likes you, but it doesn't sound very deep or anything yet, and it seems like you're handling it fine. Once it gets to the point where you feel uncomfortable, just tell him you liked it better when you were just good friends and that you hope it can stay that way. good luck
