Hola! The name's Caitlin, 20, college junior. Being an oddball myself, I love to give an encouraging word to those who are "different", but I'll awnser advice on anything.Tell me whatever you want. NOTE- If anyone here reads my column on a regular basis, you may notice that my feedback as dropped a bit suddenly. This is because I got a low L2 rating on a question I responded to. Please note that in general, I do pay strict attention to my grammar and such. I am an English major, after all. But at the time I was looking at that question, it was late at night, and I was tired. Focusing on giving what help I could, I didn't even notice the multiple spelling mistakes. Needless to say, I am rather upset at having my rating so damaged by this one event. Please realize that while I care deeply about the professional look of my responses, I care more about what I am SAYING. I'll try to be more observant in the future. Thank you.

ok im 13/f and me and my bf have been goin out for like 3 weeks now and our birthdays are really close (3 days). he dosent have money so he felt bad he didnt get me anything... i mean REALLY bad. so bad that one of my friends told him i was crying over it! he stil feels bad but honestly... I DONT CARE! i mean sure it would be nice to get something from him but yea i dont care. well heres the thing... he said hes going to get me somthing for x-mas and i shouldnt get him anything since he didnt get me anything for my birthday. but..... he said that about his birthday present that i gave him, i didnt want to get him one b/c it would make him feel bad but then everyone was like "omg its not going to make him feel bad! get him somthing!" so yea i did.
i dont no if i should get him anything. PLZZZZ HELP!!!!
if you think i should then tell me what i should get him.... i have already heard about gift cars (but i cant do that b/c thats what i got him for his birthday), CDs, music, but i need a lot more ideas!!!

Go ahead and get him something. Just assure him you got it because you wanted to, not because you "had" to or anything. Make it a simple thing. A CD of his favorite band, some fresh-baked cookies, or a subscription to a magazine he likes, perhaps.
