Whenever I have to speak infront my class, by myself, I get really nervous. I feel like I am going to throw up or faint. I know, it's really embarassing. So, do you have any tips on what I should do to not get nervous? Or anything I should say to myself so I won't be nervous? Thank you in advance. (link)
People have different ways of dealing with this sort of stuff. I know how you feel because I used to have awful stage fright, I go to an arts school for vocal an drama so I had to learn how to overcome this stuff too. If there is a person in your class that you feel comfortable with then make eye contact with them and pretend that you're talking only to them. If you don't think that will work you can just stare at the wall at the back of the room, just a bit over everyone's heads, that way it sort of looks like you're making eye contact, but you don't have to look at the people. The main thing is to find a way to ignore the people there that works for you. I have other tricks, but those are the two that I use the most. I know its difficult, but sometimes you just have to take a deep breath and take the plunge. If you want to know more tricks just ask. Hope I helped.
