about
So, I'm a sixteen year old girl, and I live in Ontario, Canada. I LOVE giving out advice. All my friends come to me for advice because:-I tell them the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
-I don't sugarcoat things. If your relationship is doomed, I'll tell you. I won't say "just talk to him" or stuff like that.
-I don't judge. Well, I do judge a little bit, but who doesn't. But, you can tell me you just had sex with 309573458346934584357 different people, and I'll still love you none the less.
-I'm just a normal person, and I probably go through the same everyday crap that the rest of you go through.
So yeah, feel free to drop me a line. As far as I know, I've never screwed someone over with my advice!
advice
Okay, so my mother is allergic to everything except like...20 items total on this planet, and is extremely against all forms of chemicals such as nail polish and hair dye.
HOWEVER...
My roommate got a free salon-type-thing from her boyfriend, and on it, it says you can bring a friend, so we kinda decided she was bringing me...Lol. So we're getting our hair done this weekend.
I'm thinking
Thinned, re-layered, Cut a liiiiiiiiittle longer than shoulder length (or exactly shoulder length, not sure), side-sweeping bangs.
Now here's the hard part.
I kinda wanna get highlights. I'm thinking brownish red highlights 'cause I do have red in my hair.
My mother, however, would MURDER me if she saw highlights in my hair or knew that I borrowed my roomie's shampoo to see what effect scent had on my hair.
What do you guys think I should do? Should I get highlights anyway and beg them to make them as not-noticeable as possible? Or forego the highlights and possible making-worse of hair until I'm far away in grad school?
Should I ask them if they have temporary dye so I can see what they look like?
Opinions, please. ^_^
If you have a roomate, you don't live with your mother right?
Highlights really aren't that big of a deal, because sometimes you can barely notice them, and it's not like you're dying your hair an extreme colour.
And your mother wouldn't be coming in contact with the highlights, so what does it matter?
Anyways, good luck with it, and I hope the highlights turn out gorgeous!

(Rating: 5) I'll ask them to make them as discreet as possible while still highlighted...Lol.
Thanks!
