I am a Christian, and I love giving advice, so you can be anonymous or not, I would just love to hear from you! My friends tell me that I am a great person to come to for advice. I seem to know just what to say. I don't know. =) I love listening to people and problems. I just don't like being in the middle of them; I do choose sides if I absolutely have to. I want to be a Social worker or a counseling Psychologist someday. I am a senior in high school, and I start college in August of '06. I'm in band, and choir. I play French horn and sing alto. I have been through a lot with friends/family and even though I haven't, I feel like I've seen it all, so I hope I can help!

I have a boyfriend, and we've been together for over a year. Its a pretty special relationship to me. But, theres always these never ending problems that I can't fix anymore. There are times when he'll know that I need him, and he'll leave, not like I'll be crying and say, "I need you" I mean like, we'll have plans to meet online or something, and he'll go to his friends house. I'm usually always ok with him leaving to go to a friends house. But, we hardly got to talk last weekend and now this weekend we never talked, and now next weekend he'll be gone and he knew that he would be. We always have problems where he'll be gone, or just a silly issue will happen. I'd hate to sound like one of those desperate girls, but hes different. He isn't the type to just leave me like that, he feels really bad when he forgets something or did something wrong, yet it keeps happening, and I'm the only one to always think of a solution to fix us, well, this time I decided to make him think, and hes saying we should break up for now. We have recently taken a lot of breaks to help us, we started with taking the whole weekend away, and then we moved on to a week and a half, and here we are stuck again. I have never been so terrified in my life about this relationship failing. I guess I need to know if breaking up for now was the right thing, or if we should be doing something we havn't already done. I think there is something inside of him wanting to work this out, but something else forgets. I'm really open to any answers, I just need help, I'm really depressed. What would be the best solution to you?

I know what you are feeling. I was in a long distance relationship last year for a while and it was also my longest relationship. Our only form of communication for a while was AIM, then he was able to use his cell cause of his plan, and then I got a cell. He became really busy and didn't call ( I couldn't call him cause I didn't have a cell phone yet), and once we didn't talk for a month and it was rough for me. I didn't think he liked me anymore and when I finally got ahold of a cell and called him, we were fine. Eventually however, we broke up, but he's still one of those people I can come to if I have a problem. It was really rough on me for a while after we broke up b/c he was my first love, but it gradually got easier and now I am in another relationship, and the first guy is still a great friend to me. Maybe things will turn out different for you, and you two will get back together. Keep a friendship though, that's important. Don't worry about the little things, you can't change a guy. I really hope things work out for you, don't let a guy get you down, b/c friendship generally lasts longer than relationships anyway. Be okay w/ the break up for now...this is for the best at this moment and maybe you will miss each other too much and get back together. Good luck, and I hope I helped.
