I have a heart to help people; especially young people. I have a Bachelor's degree in pastoral studies and I can't wait to find a youth pastorate. Right now, I'm trying to pay off my school bill. Follow up: I was, in a round about way, answering your question. They do "work" if you want to put it that way, but I was just laying a foundation for HOW they work. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if some of the stories you've heard are real. I was in no way trying to imply that you were going to use one or trying to "preach" to you. I was answering the question from my perspective. No hard feelings here, and I hope none there.
Stay away from them!! I don't know if they "work" or not, but here's my reasoning. God has revealed everything to us in His Word that we need for life and godliness. That being the case, He's not going to give us any other revelation, especially through a board game. Thus, the only spirit that can work through that is the spirit of Satan. Obviously, that's nothing you want to play around with. There is a spiritual realm that we cannot see. Demons do exist and, trust me, they aren't working for your good.
