My mom gave me her old messenger bag and it's in pretty good condition. It's purple. But when we put it in the wash, we forgot that a pen was in there. It leaked on the black part on the inside, so it looks like a copper splotch. Is there any way that I could make this look like it belongs or hide it? We threw away the busted pen.

If you don't want to cover up the splotch with a patch, pin or other bag accessory, try buying a purple sharpie pen or other permanent marker and color over the spot. When the ink starts to wear off just color over it again. It's not the best fix, but it does work.
