I am 13 and my parents still treat me like a baby! They won't let me get hair highlights! How do I convince them to let me get highlights??
I rate very high! (link)

I had the same problem. My mother is very strict. I wanted to get them so badly, cuz everyone else had them. I think you should ask your parents to let you try a wash out of the color you want, see if you like it and if they do. Then maybe in sometime you can get permant.
But i warn you, i dont know how dark your hair is but mine is naturally pure black. I got brown highlights and it showed up orange (i mean like pumpkin orange) I got them in Feb. I was teased for months "Halloween is in October dipshit" It sucked. I'm not trying to scare you about getting them, im just telling you my story of what could happen. Its August and im going to my salon once a month to get a shine treatment, slowing reducing the color. It costs my mom $60 a month.
Everytime we go, she always says "i told you so"
It sucks.
(im not saying this will happen to you, heck it might be worse, or if you have any amount of degree in luck [[unlike me]] it will turn out fine)
Rate me if i helped
