Well, to be quite honest, if you're asking, I don't think you should go out with either of them and should get to know them both for a little while before making a decision.

What I mean is this - date them both. Not go out with both, date. The difference is that going out implies commitment, a 1-on-1 relationship. Dating is basically just that you hang out with them, spend time getting to know them, and really isn't that much different from being friends. It's just that you are trying to get to know them because you like them.

Wait until you know which one you truly want to be with.

Keep in mind, this answer is coming from my point of view, where I feel that going out with someone is unhealthy until you are actually trying to decide whether this is someone you want to marry or not. This I have realized from my own experiences.

If you are going to go out with one of them, though, you're kinda on your own - it sounds like both of them are great guys, and I don't know them. You'll see more of the second guy, but you've known Steven for 5 years.

Seriously, tho, get to know them both more before you decide. I'd wager that at least one of them you will end up not wanting to go out with within the year because of things you learn about them and their personalities.
