Q: well, i've known this guy for about 2-3 years, and he's one of the sweetest guys i've ever known. i can talk to him about anything, and everything. and if i asked or wanted the world, he would give it to me. he means a lot to me, and i dont want to lose him. im not sure if he likes me, or is just being a good friend. he calls me hun, sweetheart, and his little princess. i know what you're probably thinking, whats the problem, why not just ask him out or something. well heres the problem... i'm sixteen (almost seventeen), and hes, twenty-three. is this right? i dont think my parents would have a problem with it, because they really like him. but im afraid my other friends/relatives will,because of such the difference in age. i really like him, and he's basically what i've been looking for. and i think im in love with him. can you please help me out?

well i would just make sure that he isnt trying to get something from you but after 3 years i think thats not the case so i say just ask him or bring up the subject of a higher relationship with him and hopefully youll get the answer your looking for the age thing shouldnt matter much just as long as you know how people can be out there in the world and how they can talk but if you love him then all of the things people say wont matter
