do you have to be rich in order to be popular?
im just wondering if it gives you an advantige.
CAN ANYBODY GIVE ME SOME STORY'S ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL AND THE POPULAR KIDS. THANKS.

You in no way have to be rich to be popular! Being popular is about being liked by everyone & I'll admit people are attracted to rich kids but only because they think they're gonna get some of that cash which in reality they aren't. Sure, you could say it gives you an advantage but popularity comes from a mixture of things. For examples, beauty, grades, friends, & personality count for alot. If you're really confident & social then you have a good chance of becoming popular.

At my school, there aren't really "popular" kids but there is a clique of girls that alot of girls want to hang with. I'm kind of in the group & kind of not since I have a lot of friends who aren't.

Basically, here's a guide to being popular, maybe it will help you out. I'll also add this to my advice column so others can make the most out of it. =]

-Confidence
This has GOT to be the most important factor of everything. Ever seen Mean Girls? That's not the only movie but one that really shows you an in depth look at "high school royalty". The girls who are looked up to as "popular" are extremely confident. They don't even have to be that pretty, just assured & know that they are the best.

-Social
Some people think that to be popular, you have to be mean to everyone. THAT'S a lie. If you look up the definition of popular it tells you that it's the act of being well liked by the majority. How do you expect to be well liked if you're nasty to everyone? The key is to be nice & befriend everyone. Along with confidence, it'll make you UNSTOPPABLE.

-Fashion Sense/Beauty
I combined the 2 of these because they kind of work hand in hand. Being popular has alot to do with the way you look, whether it's the clothes you're wearing, the makeup on your face or how you do your hair. People admire you on a multitude of levels & overall attraction helps. I'm not telling anyone to go out & get plastic surgery, just keep yourself looking your best =].
