advice
I like this guy and I think that he's funny and in general a really nice and polite gentleman. But I don't know if he likes me, at first I did, but now I'm doubting it. He used to stare at me like all the time, but now I think that it is just wierd. Because whenever one of us are looking around we almost always lock eyes. And then we turn our heads away quickly. It's kind of funny. His sister is one of my good friends also and she invited me to go to church with her this weekend. I'm trying to get to know him more, but it is just hard for me. How can I work up the courage to talk to him? How can I find out if he likes me back? If he doesn't do you think he will one day? How do I become one of his good friends first? I've heard him talk to some people and we happend to have a lot of things in common. He's a sophmore and I'm a freshman and I've never had a BF, so I don't know what to do. This is the first time that I really liked someone that might like me back. I just don't want to be scared from this experience, I want it to be a happy one!! :)
Thanks in advance.
i know exactly how you feel. i have felt just like this on several ocasions. and i know the feeling is amazing- which is why you should definetely not scare yourself out of it. if a guy locks eyes with you, he's more than likely not counting your eyelashes.there's for sure a reason he's looking at you, in a way which im sure drives you crazy. being friends with his sister is definetely a plus. depending on how close you are to her, i think you should probably clue her in to the fact that ur feelin her brother. this way, she can at least know to bring you up sometime in a conversation. she can then say something along the lines of 'she's sucha great person to talk to, and she said the funniest thing today!', etc. to start a conversation, and who knows?- he might spill all, and clue her in just as you did!ive learned to work up the courage to talk to guys by making jokes. laughing (in a joking matter of course) about something hes wearing, or the way his hair looks is a start. if he gets defensive, just say "no, i just think it's cute". i know it probably sounds lame, but its never failed for me!and as of becoming one of his good friends, watever you do- do NOT get so attatched to him that you find yourself following him around. he needs his space, just like everyone else does. ive made that mistake before, and ive found myself in awkward positions, like, thos awkward silences that come around. id have to say that thats all i can give on this situation, i hope it helps, and good luck in all that comes your way between the two of you.
