It is TOTALLY fine to go to prom without a date. My junior prom I went to alone, and met up with some friends. It ended up being a lot of fun, and I met another single guy there. My senior prom I went to with a date, and it wasn't as much fun. I felt like I had to be with him the entire night rather than going with my friends. What matters is that you have fun and enjoy yourself, not who you do or don't go with :)
